Trees in Winter Sunlight
The frost will come
Still and opaque
No winds that wake
Nor hammering of rainThe air will chill
Breath to a cloud
Without a sound
Nor a droplet of songFrozen in time
No light from dark
Beauty so stark
Nor sun rising higher -
Woodland Seat
This is a carved seat made out of a tree trunk that I found in a woodland walk within the grounds of a stately home open for public viewing. The seat has squirrels and oak leaves carved around the sides. It is positioned in an ideal spot, in the sunshine.
