  • Fancy Jasper

Meet Fancy Jasper sourced from all dry continents of the Earth. It looks like a palette of the desert sands. It is smooth chalcedony and quartz, nice to hold for meditations. It brings in a connection to Earth Based Wisdoms for recall and journeys of old lineages of the land.

Fancy Jasper aligns the Root Chakra to the Higher Chakras. Opens up energy of stability and peacefulness, to a place, situation and safety. Creates a sense of belonging to practices of ritual and ceremony, to being at one with the land around you, from gardening to homemaking and settling in.

  • February Irises

February always seems to be a bit of a slow path to spring, with some glimpses of blue skies and sunshine on still days. I look to my Irises and watch how they are so resilient to the morning frost, the low temperatures and strive towards the yellow streaming light at noon. Each day I check they are making it through. We are forecast icy rain and snow again, I have many things I seem to worry about, but these flowers just soak up the light. They spread their petals fully open without a bit of concern.

  • Pathways of Prayers

I pray today for new ways of walk this earthly reality with my feet firmly planted in each and every moment.

May my feet connect to the one place, one time, one love. May my feet anchor me sturdy and strong. May my feet feel the pulse of Mother Earth, the temperature of present awareness.

May my feet be open to pull in all the valleys, alleys and avenues of choices, considerations here present. May my feet be able to spread my weight evenly with equanimity as my teacher.

May my footsteps be met with desired movement. May forward action be with a tender greeting of all the elements playing a symphony of encouragement and guidance through All the paths and passages of life.

  • Autumnal Mindset

I am getting my mindset into the sensations of the season. My autumnal mind of gratitude and collecting my thoughts of what I have nurtured this past year. My assessment is that I have had a steady slow path which completed a teaching document I have the task to complete from so long ago. It was a very  difficult development to fullfil the congruent structure set by an organisations requirements. At times I thought I would never succeed. I was navigating my grief from the loss of my Father as well as caring for my Mother. A deep desire was unfolding to be nurtured in nature, so I turned towards the sights and signs around me. The focus that kept me going was turning of the wheel and the boundaries of my inner compass. The deadline by which I needed to complete was set at the season of gratitude, the harvest, and the folding inwards for the great pause of winter.

Now it is complete. It is time to lay down the pencils, or save the final draft in a file. Autumn 🍂 is a time to harvest what I have sown. For me it is learning to walk as nature intented. To celebrate the achievement of the completion but not to launch into action. You see, I am turning to nature as my teacher. The steps are leading me to root into the dark seasons with a sense of completion. The dark months for me will be for dreaming in the visions, taking time to consider practically, what needs to be brought into form from the formless. For now, it is a time to pause and let the leaves fall 🍃🍂🍁.

For now, I am putting away the pencils, closing the file, and allowing myself the pleasure of completion.

How do you celebrate all that you have brought into being these last seasons?

How are you celebrating your harvest?

What rituals are you planning for Autumn?

  • Reflection for #sundaynightcandlelight 6th -7th July

    Where is my safe place?

    My body is a Temple

    My Breath is Sanctuary

The felt sense is the Altar

    The Cornice is my Edge

  • Celebrate myself with love and kindness

I dont really know where that phrase comes from, but I recite it to myself when I see I am making my way through this world

  • Iris Floriography

    Gifts from the soil.

Not all that is buried is gone. The earth teaches us that within the dirt there remains life.
In the richness of the underworld is a medicine that comes to us with a reminder of newness and joy.
This garden continues to reach into my sorrow. It is a comfort to feel that the dirt and soil can hold my emotions and sustain my process of change.
The history of the iris can be traced back to the #Monet and #Vangogh. It is also a symbol known as the #FleurdeLis and #Medival messages hidden in plain sight of the bloodline of European royalty. It is a reminder of the continued faith throughout the ages, a lineage of connection and a message of our own sovereignty found deep within.
The message from Iris is we are all from a deep rooted lineage, an eternal bond. The depth of the earth, the soil in your hand is ancestral. We are always standing with our beloved beneath our feet.

  • Lines of Grandmothers

    There is a sweet feeling,
    Pegging out the washing
    Watching my hands age
    along the line.
    This inner knowing
    Of the right way to
    hang the clothes.
    Maybe my Grandmothers
    are talking through me
as I peg the next to the next.
    This pleasing practice,
    Embedded in my bones,
Of the women, the wind, the dazzling sun.
Did they have moments like this?
    Early morning dew in Spring?
I imagine my lineage of women, peg to peg, listening to birdsong, looking at their own hands year after year.
    My line of coastal dwellers,
    Salty air,
    Swinging clothes in sunlight,
Clothes of colours to old worn comforts.
Seagulls hovering for a bit of bread,
The dry lines and cold fingers,
    Their hands,
    My hands,
    Now look the same.

  • Elementals

Take me to the woods and let me stand with the trees. Let me synthesize my emotions and hear the humming of the birds and the bees….
