Ever-unfolding

My many yesterdays
Are not my tomorrow
The tumbled leaf
Doesn’t chase and follow

The winds of yesterday
Have sailed on by
The moving clouds
Roll across the sky

The stain of yesterday
Has washed away
The rain did pass
Leaving less to say

Separation

treesinlight
As a flower
Wrench from the stem
So my actions
I now condemn
As the wind
Blows to defeat
Aching are thoughts
Now on repeat
Separation
Of leaf from tree
A displacement
I feel from thee
As an island
Out in the sea
My true homeland
Is far from me
