No bird song
Up in the tree
No laughter sort
Or gaiety
No dawn to break
No warming rays
No comfort found
On cloudy days
No pouring rain
No spell of cold
Or touch of skin
No hand to hold
No lightening strike
Or thunder rolls
No joyous kiss
Or beating souls
To sounds so sweet
To warmth entwine
Embrace complete
To love divine

Deep dark is the night
Howling haunting wind to fright
Unable to sight
Moving, objects thrown
Like a poltergeist it roams
Listen to it’s groans
Darkness all around
Evils of the night are found
And turmoil abound
Haiku – Wind and Storm
The Roll on roll sound
Epic gusts and circles round
Swirls and toils inbound
Momentum aspires
Gallop approach transpires
Then it retires
Billows and raptures
Again as if in chapters
Turmoil it captures
Making its portal
Gaining its strength so forceful
Is it immortal?
Power to abduct
Scatter to wreck and destruct
Not wise to obstruct
A calm comes in play
Time to retreat and obey
Commands the suns ray
