Our bodies are in a constant state of maintaining balance for energy to flow, this is often referred to as chi, or prana. Many disciplines have been developed to help balance this energy. Reiki, Qigong, Tai Chi, Meditation, Yoga, are just a few of the many ways individuals can enhance the flow of this energy. Reiki is the energy that connects our higher self with everything around us, and so it does not only benefit physical healing, but mental, emotional and spiritual growth as well.

Distant Reiki works by focused intention to a recipient in their own home and it is as effective as receiving a treatment in-person. I “connect and intend” to a photo, the recipient’s name, a requested theme – intention, or a surrogate (an item for physical hand positions).

I have supported others with distance Reiki for pain-relief, stress, rehabilitation and surgery recovery, as well as energy balancing and so much more. A session can be held simultaneously or I can perform the session and let you know when it is done so you can call on it whenever you are free to receive in your own time and space. The duration is 45 minutes, so a comfortable position in a chair or lying down is recommended. A session holds the same energy as in-person so following after-care guidelines also applies.

Contentment, relaxation, decreased feelings of stress, fear and anxiety as well as an improvement of physical ailments and conditions are common observations after a Reiki session. The practitioner conducts Universal energy to flow. The energy will go where it is needed and in the order that the recipient’s body/mind determines. After the session the drink plenty of water to keep hydrated and eat well balanced nutritional foods. Some clients experience some fatigue or an energetic response, it is important to listen to the bodies needs and response accordingly, such as rest and self-care.
