Spring Equinox
Light and Shade
For this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge, please post a photo that is unusual in some way for you, whether it be through technique, by subject, or in some other unique way. This theme is wide open to interpretation because only you know what is unusual to you.
I visit my local beach often and on this day the clouds seem to create a filter for the sunlight. The light seems to stream in creating an unusual dramatic effect.

Night Light
Butterfly Friends
At Holehird Gardens, Windermere the fragrant blooms
of the wisteria attract the butterflies in large numbers.
There must have been at least ten of the darlings on the
flowers at one time.
It has been a dream of mine to have a butterfly land
on my hand so I stood patiently with my palms flat
and open to the sky hoping one of them would land
for just a short while.
I didn’t manage to entice one to my hand
but two of them did approach,
one on my scarf and one on my shoulder.
Pure delight.
Frame
